"When we at Tyco Health & Safety decided to relocate our Scott Instruments facility, we engaged Applied Technology and Science to assist us in identifying and characterizing the key process conditions for our sensor manufacturing. Don Havas used his Six Sigma experience to perform process capability studies and designed experiments to identify and characterize the key process variables. Using the data of these studies, he was able to recommend changes and controls to make the processes more repeatable and robust.
Don also lead a team of our people in a Process Failure Mode Effect Analysis (PFMEA) for one of our newer products. Through this effort we were able to make substantial improvements in both the manufacturing process and the equipment, simplify the process and shorten the manufacturing cycle time.
